Serious indeed, but I expect there's a cure. One that need not involve death. In her defense, she has written a book about sparrows - White Throated sparrows (Zonotrichia albicollis) to be exact - which should of course be commended.
the opening sentence: "Mama sparrow had warned him over and over again." the final sentence: "And immediately she began thinking up a brand new melody for a song she would sing to God’s newest little Sparrows."
I believe Harry Potter then gets married and raises orphaned sparrows for 57 years.
